Born in Jérémie, Haiti, Azaf, whose real name is Asaphe Micaëlle Jean Louis, embodies the rare union of music, thought and commitment.

A philosopher by training and a feminist activist, Azaf is much more than a singer. She is a woman-ferryman, a weaver of stories.

Musically, Azaf skilfully blends Afro-Caribbean rhythms, traditional Haitian sounds, the pulse of jazz and the inflections of contemporary soul.
